Business Development Executive

Impression Recruitment are delighted to be searching for a Business Development Executive on behalf of our long-standing client who are based in Harrogate, known to be leaders in their field with an ever-growing success story. They are looking for a bubbly, personable individual who has experience in building and nurturing successful, mutually beneficial business relationships to help build trust and ultimately further expand their global client base. You will play a pivotal role in driving the company forward by identifying potential clients, nurturing leads, and ultimately assisting in closing deals, acting as the key point of contact for new client relationships and giving them an extremely positive initial impression about their future dealings with the company. You will then pass the clients on to the Recruitment Consultants within the team who will assist in finding the very best talent for roles.



Your duties as Business Development Executive will include:

  • Identifying and targeting potential clients, developing and executing strategic outreach plans to drive sales growth.
  • Conducting thorough needs assessments and effectively communicating the value of the client’s needs, addressing enquiries and objections throughout the process.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities.
  • Managing the database to spot opportunities, understand market changes and gain knowledge of ongoing and future business requirements.
  • Creating customer relationships and developing new contacts within the database for future business.
  • Achieving personal targets, team targets and KPIs.
  • Proactively and positively presenting the company to potential clients.


Key skills / qualities in order to be successful:

  • Previous experience within a business development role.
  • Ability to work at pace and to build new client relationships whilst nurturing ongoing relationships simultaneously.
  • An upbeat, proactive, self-motivated approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
  • Strong team player with a sense of humour and enthusiasm.
  • Goal focused and motivated to hit objectives and targets.
  • Ability to build relationships based on trust, transparency and confidence.


As Business Development Executive you will be paid a basic salary of £25,000 – £32,000 per annum with an uncapped commission structure, allowing a limitless earning potential that is in your hands! You will be working in the office Monday to Friday between 8:30am – 5:30pm (3pm finish on Friday’s), and you’ll be part of a sociable and fun environment with lots of benefits and incentives.
