Known for delivering expert services across a broad range of sectors including healthcare, education, leisure, commercial, and residential projects, this company has fostered strong, long-term relationships with both public and private clients. Due to continued growth and success, they are seeking a dedicated CDM Advisor to join their team. The role offers an excellent career opportunity for an experienced CDM Advisor or Health & Safety Manager seeking to advance their career within a consultancy environment. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of CDM compliance and construction risk management for a diverse portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice to clients, ensuring full compliance with CDM Regulations.
- Collaborate with project teams to prepare pre-construction information, including identifying necessary details and assisting with surveys.
- Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of health and safety files, ensuring all construction phase plans and operation manuals are thoroughly reviewed.
- Ensure the ongoing flow of health and safety information between clients, contractors, and project teams.
- Manage the submission of F10 notifications to the HSE for all projects.
- Advise on health and safety issues, proactively identifying risks at both the design and construction phases.
- Develop risk registers and facilitate workshops to ensure thorough risk identification and management.
- Review contractor documentation, including method statements and risk assessments.
- Participate in incident investigations as required.
Skills required:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry, ideally with a background in health and safety advisory or management.
- NEBOSH Certificate and/or Diploma in Health and Safety (or similar qualification).
- Membership and CPD record of relevant professional body e.g., IOSH, IIRSM.
- In-depth understanding of Health & Safety legislation, particularly The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
In return the successful CDM Advisor will receive a salary of up to £50,000 per annum with the added benefit of a yearly bonus. You’ll work Monday to Friday on a hybrid working pattern in a welcoming office environment, with a great opportunity to make the role your own.
