Purchasing Administrator

Our established client based in Knaresborough are looking for a Purchasing Administrator on a temporary basis for around 3 months, however there is prospect for this opportunity to go permanent dependent on business requirements and candidate performance. Ideally you will be organised, efficient and be strong with data management, as well as having excellent communication skills. You will take responsibility for the order management process for the business, so will be dealing with suppliers and internal colleagues in relation to order/product requirements, ensuring all information is processed and recorded accurately on the internal database. 

 

Purchasing Administrator Duties:

  • Speaking with colleagues over the phone, making note of all parts/product order requirements.
  • Placing orders with suppliers over the phone and via order submission systems.
  • Ensuring pricing is accurate and correct when placing orders.
  • Providing updates to colleagues on order deliver timescales.
  • Managing order/supplier data on the internal company system.
  • Providing general administration support to the purchasing team.

Our client is willing to consider all levels of experience for this role, however it will be vital you can demonstrate an ability to prioritise tasks, work with an organised manner, professionally communicate, and that you are competent with data input/coordination duties. As Purchasing Administrator you will receive an hourly rate of between £11.44 - £12.00 per hour, working Monday to Thursday 8:30-5pm, with an early finish on a Friday. Our client is growing rapidly and does have further growth plans, so this is a good time to join and make a good impression in a busy department for the business!
