Role: Qualified Accountant

Location: Skipton-based with occasional travel to Harrogate office

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About our client:

Our client is truly a client-focused accountancy practice with offices in Skipton, Harrogate, and Leeds. Their growing team is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join them in delivering exceptional services to a diverse client base.

The Role

As a Qualified Accountant, you will:

• Report directly to the Director.
• Utilize IT systems, including Iris accountancy software, with experience in Xero and/or Sage being advantageous.
• Work as part of a close-knit, client-driven team.

Key Details:

• Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (37.5 hours per week) with flexible time options.
• Office-based role mainly based in Skipton.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and care.

Experience & Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have - 

• ACCA qualification.
• Essential practice experience in an accountancy practice.
• The ability to manage a portfolio of clients or be working towards this level of responsibility.
• Expertise in dealing with a mix of clients, including sole traders and limited companies.
• Experience preparing accounts up to audit stage.
• Skills in advising clients on Tax, VAT, and Capital Gains Tax (or obtaining relevant information to provide advice).
• Potential to assist with audits, depending on experience.
