We are working with a retail destination based in Colne who are on the lookout for a talented Retail Sales Manager to spearhead their Home Department.
As a Retail Sales Manager you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your expertise by leading a dedicated team, driving sales, and ensuring an unforgettable shopping experience for their customers. This is also an ideal opportunity for someone looking to take a step up from an Assistant Manager/ Leader position.
Key responsibilities as Retail Sales Manager:
- Lead and Motivate the Sales Team:
- Set Clear Goals: Clearly define the sales targets and individual objectives for each team member.
- Foster a Positive Environment: Encourage teamwork, recognise achievements, and celebrate successes to keep morale high.
- Lead by Example: Demonstrate the behaviours and work ethic you expect from your team. Be present, engaged, and supportive.
- Monitor Sales Performance and Implement Strategies:
- Track Key Metrics: Regularly monitor sales data, including daily, weekly, and monthly sales figures, conversion rates, and customer feedback.
- Analyse Data: Use data analytics to identify trends, pinpoint areas of improvement, and understand customer buying habits.
- Adjust Strategies: Based on your analysis, refine sales strategies to focus on high-performing products or areas, and address any underperforming segments.
- Regular Feedback: Provide your team with constructive feedback on their performance, highlighting areas of success and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure Outstanding Customer Service:
- Customer Issue Resolution: Establish a process for quickly addressing and resolving customer complaints or issues. Empower your team to make decisions that prioritise customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in retail sales management
- Can do attitude with the ability to motivate a team and their performance
- Proven track record of driving sales and achieving targets
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of inventory management and control
In return as Retail Sales Manager you will achieve a salary in the region of £26,000 – £32,000 depending on experience alongside strong work benefits and an employer that recognises the need for work-life balance in a retail setting.
