Senior Estimator

Our client who are a leading business in their field based in Middlesbrough, are now seeking a Senior Estimator due to further continued growth within the company. The role will involve ensuring accurate estimation of the full installation process and services. This is an exciting prospect to help develop the department further and help to train other members of staff. This role would therefore suit a strong communicator with strong multitasking skills.

Duties as a Senior Estimator:

• Dealing with pricing, tenders and suppliers
• Producing quotes and identifying costs for materials and labour
• Estimating for supplies and installation
• Updating systems, pricing and handling relevant documentation
• Being responsible for the estimating process on all supplies and services
• Dealing with budgets and specifications
• Using various software and updating pricing
• Preparing relevant reports and meeting requirements
• Liaising with internal and external parties
• Building relationships and providing advice

• Growing company revenue
• Prioritising workload and collaborating with the team

• Recording queries and update project tenders
• Other duties required in accordance to the job post

Skills:

• Experience in an Estimator position or covering similar duties
• Experience within the construction industry (essential)
• Demonstrated experience dealing with Steel Frame Structures / Light Gauge Steel Frames / Hot Roll or Drylining
• Knowledge of purchasing construction materials
• The ability to work as part of a team and on your own
• Can prioritise tasks in an efficient manner
• Strong communication and customer service skills on all levels
• A good understanding of Microsoft systems, specifically Excel

In order to be successful as a Senior Estimator you will be a numerically focussed individual with keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise workload. In return you will receive a salary between £30k-£55k, dependent on experience, working Monday to Thursday, 8:30am-5pm, with a 4:30pm finish on a Friday.
