Management Accountant

Impression Recruitment are very pleased to be working alongside a highly recognisable, award winning business in Northallerton, who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant on a full time, permanent basis. Our client is a real success story within the local area and have expanded the reach of their services across the full North Yorkshire region since their establishment over 30 years ago! We are looking to speak to candidates that are either working towards being a qualified Accountant or that are already qualified and seeking a new challenge. You will be working as part of an established, friendly finance team at our client’s head office in Northallerton on a hybrid basis. You will report into the Finance Business Partner to ensure financial control is maintained across key business areas. You will be producing management accounts and financial analysis across multiple business operations. As a minimum you will currently be studying AAT Level 4 or will have completed your AAT studies and have started/want to start studying towards CIMA. Further financial support will be provided by our client for your studies! You will have experience of working within management accounts and be capable of providing financial analysis, creating financial reports, and providing financial commentary. These skills are vital if you are to be successful in your application, and candidates must be able to demonstrate experience of this on their CVs.

Management Accountant Duties:

Produce financial analysis and commentary to business stakeholders.
Prepare financial reports on different business divisions.
Production of management accounts and budgets.
Balance sheet control and reconciliations.
Actively monitor financial models.
Support and manage year end processes.
Use of Power BI to create financial models.
Processing of transactions, charges and rebates.

Required Skills & Experience:

Currently studying AAT L4 or studying/looking to study CIMA.
Able to showcase experience of financial analysis, commentary and reporting.
Strong ability with MS Office packages such as Excel.
Any experience of Power BI would be beneficial but not essential.
Understanding of balance sheet reconciliations.

As Management Accountant, you will receive a salary of circa £35,000 per annum plus fully funded study support. This is a full time, permanent position working Monday – Friday around the core hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm, however flexibility can be provided on this. Our client operates a hybrid working structure that ranges between 1 – 3 days in the office per week dependent business requirements during the month. Our client who are a leading business in their field based in Middlesbrough, are now seeking a Financial Controller. This is an exciting, varied opportunity to support the department with daily accounting duties and assist the business through its continued growth. We are seeking someone who is business minded, has a strong accounting background and possesses excellent communication skills.

Duties as a Financial Controller:

• Preparing and controlling annual budgets

• Processing month end journals and accruals

• Working on intercompany accounts

• Preparing VAT and CIS returns

• Ensuring the business is compliant and follows legislation

• Producing cashflow forecasts

Our Client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Accounts Supervisor to join their team of three on a part-time basis to cover maternity leave. This role is for an 18-month contract, starting in January 2025, and offers the opportunity to support a busy accounts team with a variety of essential duties.

Part-Time Accounts Supervisor Key Responsibilities:

Handle general accounts tasks, including Sales and Purchase Ledger.
Manage VAT returns and credit control escalation.
Provide support to the accounts team and assist in day-to-day financial operations.
Payroll experience is advantageous, but not essential.

Qualifications & Experience:
